RSI International Systems Inc.

Founded in 1978, RSI International is a dynamic public company that provides web based property management software solutions to the global hospitality industry. The company's easy to use, integrated applications are scalable and meet the needs of any size hotel, Inn or resort - providing property owners and managers with global access to information while empowering problem solving, productivity, revenue opportunities and enhanced bottom line.

With hundreds of customers around the world, our clients cover the hospitality application spectrum - from large downtown city hotels with over 1,000 rooms to rural inns with less than 10 rooms. All of our solutions are distributed via perpetual license through a centrally hosted environment. The Company is headquartered in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Management Team

RSI's senior management team brings the company years of experience in the areas of: hotel management; software development; client services; strategic planning; business development; and marketing.

Charles Ku - Chief Executive Officer

As the Chief Executive Officer, Charles is responsible for leading the Company in corporate strategy, business development, product innovation, market gains and profitability commitments. Charles has over 20 years of national and international senior management experience within the hospitality industry. Prior to joining RSI, Charles was Vice President of Sales and Marketing (Lodging Division) for Intrawest Corporation. Previously, Charles was Director of Marketing for several world-renowned, luxury hotels, including The Regent Hotel of Hong Kong, the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis. Charles also had experience as the Sales and Marketing Information Systems Manager for the Hyatt Hotel chain.

Sameer Poonja, MBA - Director of IT

In his role as Director of IT, Sameer oversees technology operations, including production environments, production support centre and services, capacity planning, quality assurance, release & deployment management, and reporting operations. He possesses deep knowledge of tactical technical operations planning and management for the hospitality industry. Sameer was Project Manager of Network Planning, Deployment and Operations for Micros Systems Inc, the leading worldwide hospitality solutions provider, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and deployment of their HMS applications across the IHG & Golden Tulip Group of Hotels. Previously he worked at the Park Hyatt Toronto as one of the leaders of operations & development of the Rooms Division department. Sameer was also an Assistant Professor at the Australian College of Tourism & Hospitality Management and continues to volunteer his time at Vancouver Community College as a term Lecturer for Management Information Systems (MIS) and Strategic Management in the Hospitality Industry. Sameer holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Information Technology (Distributed Databases) from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia and a BA in International Hotel & Tourism Management from the University of Manchester, UK.

Jeff Sefton - Director of Client Services

As Director of Client Services, Jeff is responsible for the management of the RSI support team. He oversees the day to day management of all client activity including training and support. Prior to rejoining RSI, Jeff held various front office management positions with Park Plaza Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels. Originally, Jeff worked with RSI as a client services manager, providing software support and training to clients while installing reservation systems in Hotels and Resorts throughout North America. Jeff also worked as a member of the upgrade implementation team that successfully completed the proprietary interface conversions for Hotel and Resort properties under the Starwood Hotels banner. Jeff has a Certificate in Hotel Operations from the Constellation College of Hospitality, Toronto, ON.

Mark Smiciklas, MBA - Director of Sales and Marketing
As Director of Sales and Marketing, Mark is responsible for developing and communicating the company's branding message. In addition, Mark is responsible for business development through management of the RSI sales team. Mark brings more than 17 years of sales and marketing management experience to RSI. Most recently, Mark was the Director of Sales and Marketing with a national manufacturer with sales in excess of $250 M. In this role, Mark was responsible for all sales and marketing related functions for all 4 operating companies. Mark holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Royal Roads University, Victoria, BC and a Marketing Management Diploma from Ryerson University, Toronto, ON.
